If I take a retake exam and get a lower score than I did before, what will happen?
Answer: If your score on a retake exam is lower than the score you got the first time, the IBO will keep your best score.
I'm going to university in İstanbul. Can I take retake exams at a different school?
Answer: The IBO does permit retakes at a school that is different from the one where you registered for your diploma programme. However, it is up to each school to decide if they will accept students from other schools for retake registration. If you are thinking about taking retakes at another school, you should check with them very early, to allow time if you have to change plans and register at TED Ankara.
What if I miss the deadline for retake registration?
Answer: Late registration is available, but you will have to pay a large penalty fee.
I registered for retake exams, but then I changed my mind. Can I withdraw?
Answer: If you notify us before November 15, 2007, we can withdraw your registration and your registration fee will be returned to you. If you do not notify us before November 15, you will not be able to get your registration fee.
What are the dates for exams in May 2009?
Answer: The dates for May 2009 exams will be published at the end of August 2008. We will publish the dates here as soon as we receive them.
If I register for retake exams, will I have to do my practical work again?
Answer: You do not have to do your practical work again in order to take retake exams. When you request registration for retake exams, you must tell us if you want to use the practical work grades from last year. However, if you think it will help your score if you redo some experiments, please talk to us.
